In Summer every-year - Come celebrate the Vasantha Ritu. Dhaatu Puppet Festival- 2009 happened in April . Dhaatu had invited professional puppetry troupes from all over South India performing shadow, Yakshagana, string and Robotic puppetry at the festival which was attended and appreciated by thousands of people. A puppetry workshop for children was also a main feature of the event. For the first time Bangalore witnessed a Puppet Parade with hundreds of puppets on parade walking around the block for 2 kms accompanied by live music and a tableau.
